Delete Your RetroSelfie Account

1. Delete it in the app

This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.

  1. Open RetroSelfie and sign in if you are not signed in.
  2. Tap the Me tab.
  3. In the Account section, tap Delete Account.
  4. Type DELETE and tap Delete account.

Your account is deleted and the app continues as a guest. This cannot be undone.

2. If you cannot open the app

Email privacy@retroselfie.me from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We reply to that address to confirm the request comes from you, then delete the account and confirm by email. We complete requests within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

  • Your account and sign-in (email address and password).
  • Your credit balance, including any unused credits, and your credit history.
  • Your profile data: device model, app version, country setting and approximate location.
  • The links between your account and your devices, and the request logs for those devices.

4. What is kept, and why

  • Purchase records, because the law requires them for accounting. They are no longer linked to you.
  • Referral records another user depends on, such as a code of yours that someone else used. They are no longer linked to you.
  • Usage analytics (Mixpanel) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) are not removed automatically. Email us and we delete them within 30 days.
  • Your customer record with our purchase processor (RevenueCat), which holds your account ID and purchase records. Email us and we delete it within 30 days.
  • Photos on your phone are your own files and stay on your device. We never store your photos on our servers.

5. Using RetroSelfie without an account

Guests have no account to delete. Guest credits are tied to a random identifier the app creates for your device and include no name or email, so we cannot look them up for you. Uninstalling the app removes the data stored on your phone.
